Natural aspen is an excellent material for saunas as it does not contain any resin and due to the low density and poor thermal conductivity of the hardwood material, aspen does not get unpleasantly hot. Aspen color is beautifully light, clean and bright. Thanks to the light color of aspen wood, it is easily paintable or oilable – as if it were a blank canvas, to which you can give a special character.
It is very effortless to combine aspen with darker sauna materials to create a sauna of your dreams. Keep in mind – in order for the light sauna material to remain beautiful and clean longer, it should be treated with a sauna protective agent.
