Standwood is the first in Estonia to use the innovative vacuum-based thermal treatment chamber, which achieves top-level standards and transforms high-quality wood into something even better.
A new technology allows us to produce more products with less material, which means we require over 50% less raw material compared to other wood industry companies. Lower material consumption means less forest needs to be cut down, and 90% of the already harvested material is utilized in production!

From 2021 to 2024, we participated in the Estonian-Norwegian cooperation program “GREEN ICT.
With an eye on the future, we explored ways to expand the company’s production and automate processes while simultaneously reducing energy consumption.
Through the cooperation program, we discovered new ways to expand and improve our sustainability strategy, which included reducing the company’s carbon footprint and making production more efficient.
We found a way to reuse the hot air generated during the thermal treatment process, which reduced energy consumption, and in just 5 months, we decreased the company’s carbon emissions by a total of 17.12 tons!
In addition to energy reuse, the program led to the creation of a unique wood production process, in which we utilize not only A-grade timber but also wood waste to create sustainable materials. As a result of this new process, we produce more products with less material while keeping energy consumption as low as possible.
Our story
We have been operating since 2018 in Alliku village, just outside Tallinn, nestled between forests and fields. Our production facility is located on a three-hectare site.
Our goal is to produce long-lasting, zero-waste products in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
Our primary focus is on creating materials suitable for saunas and spa environments.
Our product range includes cladding and bench boards, moldings, various laminated wood components, and ready-to-assemble sauna elements for quick installation. In addition to natural wood, we also offer these materials in thermally treated.
Today, our products adorn saunas and spas across Europe and around the world, and we remain committed to striving for the future with unwavering dedication.
